TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account
Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade.com launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail matters. It means the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker this new, the breadth is solid.
Platforms
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Access to both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you know MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. $0 to start. Works for beginners.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That is something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
Here is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this guarantee anything. It does be part of your decision.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal works depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade runs a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
